If you have a standard Homeowners Policy, your liability coverage may not extend to incidents involving your horse.  Most Homeowners Policies provide coverage for your personal liability only.  The Private Horse Owners Policy provides protection for bodily injury or property damage caused by your horse ownership.  This policy provides coverage for the horse owner who is not involved in any other equine professional activity and does not operate their horse ownership as a business.
